Job Summary
The position holder, reporting to the Executive Director/Managing Director, will be responsible for the overall Engineering Management and Supervision.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide validation support in the installation of new systems and modifications to existing systems to ensure designs comply with current validation standards and are able to be adequately validated and maintained within validated control.
- Ensure that effective planned maintenance, repair and project works are promptly attended to, so as to minimize downtime of production equipment’s and production operations.
- Ensure that staff within the department are equipped with adequate knowledge of advancement made in the relevant field.
- Ensure adequate management of machine spare parts and accessories in Engineering store.
- Ensure good communications between sections within the department and other department within the plant.
- Inform all subordinate of their overall objective and targets and ensure that these are understood and put into action by assessing their performance regularly.
- Keep complete and accurate records of all plant and machinery after commissioning, include major breakdown, corrective actions and remedial actions taken.
- Ensure that the effective cost improvement program is operated within the department.
- Carryout project designs that will improve plant volume throughout and recommend equipment upgrade or replacement to the Managing Director.
- Prepare and submit monthly report on engineering activities.
- Ensure that new equipment are installed according to relevant validation protocols.
- Liaise with Head of Quality Operations for schedule validation on all Equipment utilities and processes.
- Participate in the investigation of process deviation/quality defects.
- Responsible for investigation of deviations, reporting deviations and CAPA for Engineering department.
- Participate in the management review meeting and responsible for presenting Trend Report and analysis for Engineering Group.
- Participate in the cross-functional investigation with other related process issue.
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; acceptable disciplines would be Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- 10+ years post qualification experience in either pharmaceutical manufacturing, food or chemical manufacturing.
- Minimum of 5 years progressive management experience including leading an Engineering or maintenance team.
- Must also have thorough knowledge in the areas of Mechanical, Electrical, and Industrial Engineering, Technical Management, Project Management, and Operations/Production.
- Working knowledge of Machine Controls, Drafting, Budgeting, Costing, Financial Systems, Communication, Development and GMP, Quality System Regulation, and ISO Requirements.
- Knowledge of inventory and purchasing Systems.
- Excellent leadership skills and a track record of developing subordinates.
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and electronic.
Remuneration: 400k – 500k /Negotiable.
