3 Habits to Stop Bloating.
Bloating occurs when excess gas is produced or as a result of some disturbance in the muscles of the digestive system. Common signs to tell one is bloated includes; swollen belly after a meal, discomfort, pain and a “very full” feeling. Basically this happens when your digestive system is crowded with excess solids, liquid or gas.
Bloating is a terrible discomfort that leaves you belching constantly and insecure about your body image. We are here with 3 habits you can imbibe to keep this ailment at bay. These includes;
- Practice “Portion-control”- Eat a considerable amount per sitting and allow a space of about 3-5 hours between meals. This will give the consumed food time to digest before the next meal.
- Avoid eating food that produces gas, especially at dinner- high fiber foods such as legumes and cabbage. Also, be careful with sugar alcohols and sodas.
- Hydrate and exercise- Make water your best-friend and create room for daily work-outs (check our previous post for quick and easy routines).
